The Oregon Department of Transportation has some upcoming paving work off Oregon 99E (Pacific Highway East/NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) in Northeast Portland.

Just another follow up on this issue. As I’m sure you are aware, we are still restricting parking in the same areas along Bridgeton Rd. near an area of erosion on the levee. We had some geotechnical engineers evaluate the erosion last week and are working with the Corps to develop next steps. Current river forecasts predict the River to rise above 16’ (minor flood stage) again later this week. We still believe that restricting parking in that area to reduce risk and increase access is the most prudent course of action at this time. The developers of the three new apartments scheduled for construction this summer will meet with us talk about design, construction schedules, staging, access and any other thoughts, issues or concerns we as neighbors may have. This will be an opportunity to review building schemes and discuss construction schedules. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about and be part of smart growth in our neighborhood. Saturday, May 14 9:00 am to 3:00 pm It's that time again. Spring is the air and so is the Annual Neighborhood Clean Up. Pitch in and help clean up to keep our beautiful neighborhood. Please use this opportunity to help clean up our neighborhood. Work parties will clean the triangle & the Bridgeton Slough at Gantenbein Ave and Marine Drive and along Bridgeton Road and Marine Drive. There will be three drop boxes. One at either end of the neighborhood and one for the cleanup of the corner of Bridgeton and Gantenbein. For the drop boxes:
PROHIBITED MATERIALS Prohibited materials, not covered by Metro’s disposal voucher program, include all hazardous waste materials; all construction, remodeling or demolition materials; all kitchen garbage; residential yard debris and trimmings; and waste and recyclables collected curbside.
We will have a special location for recyclable metals, electronics & appliances. Five secure shred boxes will be at Channel’s Edge for your convenience. ( A $ donation for the document shredder is encouraged) CORRECTION from the earlier email announcement.
