Bridgeton Neighborhood Spring Clean Up
Saturday, May 14
9:00 am to 3:00 pm

It's that time again. Spring is the air and so is the Annual Neighborhood Clean Up. Pitch in and help clean up to keep our beautiful neighborhood.

Please use this opportunity to help clean up our neighborhood. Work parties will clean the triangle & the Bridgeton Slough at Gantenbein Ave and Marine Drive and along Bridgeton Road and Marine Drive.

There will be three drop boxes. One at either end of the neighborhood and one for the cleanup of the corner of Bridgeton and Gantenbein.

For the drop boxes:
  • No: Hazardous waste, commercial waste, kitchen garbage items that can be recycled or yard debris - Here is the official Metro list of prohibited materials.

PROHIBITED MATERIALS
Prohibited materials, not covered by Metro’s disposal voucher program, include all hazardous waste materials; all construction, remodeling or demolition materials; all kitchen garbage; residential yard debris and trimmings; and waste and recyclables collected curbside.

  • Yes: General waste, useable/broken furniture, tires
This year we are strongly encouraging recycling materials.

We will have a special location for recyclable metals, electronics & appliances.

Five secure shred boxes will be at Channel’s Edge for your convenience.
( A $ donation for the document shredder is encouraged)

CORRECTION from the earlier email announcement.
The Rebuilidng Center WILL NOT collect usable tools and building materials that are free from lead paint, nails and rot.

Habitat for Humanity WILL NOT collect household items -

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Will there be a bin for yard waste, as we had in previous years?
