Public Information Event: Levee Encroachment and Flood Risk Study

Levee Ready Columbia is a partnership of more than 20 organizations committed to a collaborative approach to flood plain management in Multnomah County along the Columbia River. Part of Levee Ready Columbia’s work is to ensure that the levees in Peninsula Drainage District #2 meet standards of risk set by the U.S. Corps of Engineer and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

This includes conducting a study to determine how buildings (“encroachments”) on or near the levee effect levee function during a flood event.
